Sponsored by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Ministry of Education of
People's Republic of China, the Chinese Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics, and Chinese Materials
Research Society, we will organize a summer workshop on the topic of Multi-Field Coupling Theory and
Smart Materials during Aug 6 to 22, 2008 in Key Laboratory of Low Dimensional Materials and Application
Technology of Ministry of Education, Xiangtan University. The aim of the summer workshop is to understand
the recent research development in the field of Multi-Field Coupling Theory and Smart Materials, inspire the
research interest for the young scientists in China and promote the academic communication between
China and the world.
Topics:
1. Ferroelectric/ferromagnetic materials and multi-field coupling theory
2. Microelectronic materials and devices
3. Special materials/structures and their related problems
4. Smart materials/structures and devices
5. Design of ICs
6. Integrated sensor technologies
7. Information functional ceramics and devices
8. Multi-scale modeling of mechanics
9. Other related topics
